I did it! After almost two years of growing my hair, I was able to donate 11 inches to Locks of Love. For those of you who haven’t heard of this organization, Locks of Love is a non-profit that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 21 who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Such a great cause! Check out their website here for more information.
The process was very easy. Grow your hair. Find a salon that participates – I go to Bella Amici Salon in North Huntingdon, and they are amazing! Place your hair in a plastic bag, then inside a padded mailer. Include this donation form. Mail it in!
This was such an easy way to give something meaningful, and I definitely plan on donating again.
Has anyone else ever donated to Locks of Love or similar organizations?
