Today I am featuring a cosmetics company that I know we’ve all heard of – Younique! I was lucky enough to get to try their Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes, thanks to my friend Carly, who I will introduce you to later.
The story of Younique is pretty interesting. This company was founded by a brother-and-sister team with a mission to uplift, empower, and validate women. Younique is very family-oriented, which is so refreshing to see. They are also the first direct sales company to market and sell almost exclusively through social media! The traditional home party is no longer necessary (unless you choose to do it).
Another aspect of Younique that you may not be aware of, is the Younique Foundation. This charitable organization, started by the founders of Younique, helps adult women who suffered childhood sexual abuse. Their mission is truly beautiful: “We inspire hope in women who were sexually abused as children or adolescents by hosting them at a retreat, where they are uplifted by each other and learn skills that can help them find individual healing.
We educate parents and empower them to protect their children from sexual abuse while leading a public dialogue to bring the epidemic of abuse to light.”
So I got to try Younique’s Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes, which I’m sure you’ve all heard of.
Here are the before pictures, with no mascara:
And here are the after:
Amazing, right!? I was so happy with the fullness of my lashes. The 3D Mascara also really helped with the length. I have tried sooo many mascaras in the past, and never really committed to one. I would definitely make this a staple in my makeup bag!
The 3D Mascara was very easy to use! First, you apply an even coat of the Transplanting Gel to your lashes. Next, immediately apply 3D Fibers while Transplanting Gel is still wet. Then seal the fibers with Transplanting Gel. You can repeat until you get the desired fullness. That’s it!
My name is Carly Strano and I live in a small town in Pennsylvania with my husband Matt and our dog Winnie. I am an educator and spent the first 6 years of my career as a Special Education teacher, working mostly with children on the Autism Spectrum. This is currently my first year as a Second Grade teacher, in the regular classroom setting.
I started Younique with very low expectations in terms of long-term success. I was skeptical of a direct sales company, but my husband and I had just purchased our first home as a foreclosure. In the end, the idea of having extra income to pay off our Lowe’s and Home Depot bill was appealing.
In addition to the possibility of extra income, I admired Younique’s Foundation and loved that the products aren’t tested on animals. Furthermore, because their products are all natural and hypoallergenic I had finally found a product line that didn’t give my sensitive skin any issues! Long story short, I decided it was worth a shot! The kit to enroll is only $99 and you get almost $200 in product – so I thought why not?!
That ‘why not’ turned in to a life changing decision. In four short months, I was two levels away from the top of the company. Although I’m not at a place where I’m ready to give up my full time job, Younique has certainly changed my life in a positive way! Currently, I’m a little over a year into this journey and couldn’t more thankful for what it’s given me. Yes, the extra money is amazing, but more importantly I have built some amazing ‘virtual’ and personal friendships. I also look forward to the time I spend ‘working’ this business. I call this my girly, fun job!
Many ladies on my team do this as their full time job, while other simply want to pay for the groceries each week! It’s all about personal goals and making this business what you want it to be! Flexibility is one of the wonderful about Younique!
I feel confident that you will love these products too! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or about joining Younique!
Carly is also giving away a Younique makeup bag to one lucky reader! Enter below!
